Mr. Irwin served as a founding member of the Franchise Advisory Council working closely with Geeks On Call® to further develop the success as the national brand for computer services brought to your doorstep. “We are in a $300-billion-a-year market, where there is no national brand in this niche and I want to do everything I can to be the brand everyone knows and trusts.” While Mr. Irwin has been expanding his Geeks On Call® clientele, he has not gone unnoticed. Mr. Irwin is featured in numerous in media publications such as the September 2003 issue of Entrepreneur Magazine discussing his success achieved as an local franchise owner. “Because computer technologies are so complex, there’s always a need for my services.” In the October 2003 Computer User Magazine article, “Don’t do it yourself”, Mr. Irwin discusses the mistakes made when small business owners attempt to support their own computer technology needs. “The biggest mistake I see is people trying to do it themselves. They end up spending more time working on their computers than they do working with them.”
